In June 2023, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism will organize classes for teaching and practicing Phu Tho Xoan Singing for the next generation of artists of 4 original Xoan wards: Phu Duc; Kim Dai; Thet and An Thai; members of 33 Phu Tho Xoan singing and folk song clubs; talented people who love Xoan singing in Kim Duc and Phuong Lau communes - Viet Tri city.
In particular, participants will learn and improve the quality of performing ancient Xoan songs in 3 stages of Worship singing, Theme singing, and Festival singing such as: Invitation to King, Xoan Time, Four Seasons, and Reciprocal Singing, Wine inviting, Bo bo 1 singing, Bo bo 2 singing, Fishing song; practice, improve skills in Xoan performing, drumming, singing and dancing.
At the same time, students participating in the teaching class also learn the sequence and meaning of the singing stages, fostering knowledge about the history, meaning and value of the intangible cultural heritage of Phu Tho Xoan singing which has been registered by UNSECO; raise awareness and responsibility in preserving and promoting heritage values.
