Ho Chi Minh City announces many world-class medical tourism products

(TITC) - On 13th June 2023, Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism coordinated with the Department of Health to organise a press conference announcing Ho Chi Minh City medical tourism products.

Ms. Bui Thi Ngoc Hieu, Deputy Director of Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism said, there are increasing numbers of expatriates and international visitors come to Ho Chi Minh City to seek medical services, health care, cosmetic and dental treatments. Besides the skills of doctors and nurses, the quality of services of medical facilities, the great competitive advantage of medical tourism in Ho Chi Minh City compared to other localities and countries in the region is in terms of cost.

The target market of Ho Chi Minh City is focused on ASEAN. In terms of the medical background of Ho Chi Minh City, there is a high potential to expand to a larger target customers in Northeast Asia or Europe.

On average, each year, about 300,000 international visitors to Vietnam for medical examination and treatment, of which 40% of visitors are in Ho Chi Minh City.
