The Vietnam Film Development Association (VFDA) and the Motion Picture Association of America (MPA) have jointly launched an online video contest titled “I Love Vietnam” in an effort to elevate the images of Vietnam and its people.
The contest also seeks to spread people’s love for the country, and at the same time promote Vietnam as an attractive tourist destination among international friends and an ideal venue in which to film major movies.
The contest is open to all Vietnamese or foreign citizens, especially filmmakers who will submit their video clips capturing the untapped beautiful landscapes throughout the country.
Organisers said each video clip is required to last between 60 and 90 seconds, capturing most vivid images, emotions, people, and culture in popular places nationwide by using any device available, such as camera, smartphone, or a more sophisticated device.
The deadline for submissions will be at 5:00 p.m. on October 30, and the results of the competition will be announced in early 2024.
First prize winner will receive a Phantom 4 Pro Version 2.0 drone aerial recording device worth up to US$3,000, with other valuable prizes on offer.
