A ceremony of planting 2,000 yellow acacia trees took place on September 7th, 2023 at Hoa Thang commune, Bac Binh district (adjacent to Bau Trang eco-tourism area), Binh Thuan province in response to the implementation of the program "Planting a billion trees" launched by the Government.
Accordingly, representatives of the leaders and a large number of officials and employees of Emulation Block 6 in coordination with the Le Hong Phong Protection Forest Management Board have just launched a campaign to plant trees in 162 sub-area, Hoa Thang commune, Bac Binh district.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Tran Toi, Chief of the Provincial Party Committee Office, on behalf of the Standing Committee of Emulation Block 6 emphasized: "64 years ago, on November 28, 1959, President Ho Chi Minh wrote an article calling for people to participate in tree planting month, stating: ‘This costs little but benefits a lot. For the benefit of 10 years, we must plant trees, for the benefit of a hundred years, we must plant people.’
The activity brings practical benefits to the province, making an important contribution to preventing sand dune landslides in Bau Trang, improving the ecological environment, and creating natural landscapes for the famous eco-tourism area.
