Vietnam tourism attracts 10 million international visitor arrivals in 10 months of 2023

(TITC) - In October 2023, Vietnam welcomed 1.11 million international visitor arrivals. In 10 months, the total number of international visitors reached nearly 10 million arrivals.

In terms of market, Korea continues to be the largest source market in the first 10 months of 2023 with 2.9 million arrivals. The Chinese market reached 1.3 million arrivals, ranking the second. The number of visitors from these two markets alone accounts for 42% of the total number of international visitors to Vietnam. Next is America (3rd) with 667 thousand arrivals, Taiwan (4th) 606 thousand, Japan (5th) 469 thousand.

Ranked in the next 3 positions in the top are Southeast Asian markets, including: Thailand (392 thousand arrivals); Malaysia (372 thousand); Cambodia (326 thousand). Next are the Australian (314 thousand arrivals) and Indian markets (313.9 thousand arrivals).

In Europe, the three markets sending the largest visitors to Vietnam include: England (206 thousand arrivals), France (169 thousand) and Germany (159 thousand). The Russian market reached 98 thousand arrivals.

In October 2023, most major markets grew, in which: Korea (+3.4%), US (+8.9%), China (+6.8%) increased slightly. The big driving force comes from the markets of Thailand (+35.1%), Taiwan (+18.7%), Australia (+17.2%), and India (+15.5%).

The main markets in Europe continued to achieve good growth compared to September, including: UK (+12.9%), France (+11.6%), Germany (+16.7%). Some other markets are small in scale but have quite high increases such as: Denmark (61.7%), Switzerland (+54.1%), Finland (+42.8%), Sweden (+30.3%)...
