Nghinh Phong Tower is located in the center of Tuy Hoa Beach Park; the west connects Nguyen Huu Tho Street at the intersection with Doc Lap Street; the east borders the East Sea, which is a place to catch some sun and sea breeze deep into the heart of the city.
Nghinh Phong Tower is designed in harmony with the surrounding landscape, inspired by the legend of Lac Long Quan - Au Co, given birth to hundreds of eggs from which 100 children were born, then 50 children followed their father to the sea, the remaining 50 children followed mother Au Co to the highlands to reclaim the land and expand the country. The two towers of Nghinh Phong (50 stone columns on either side, symbolizing father and mother, yin and yang, dragon (seas) and fairy (mountains), are solidarity symbols of the Vietnamese nation. The overlapping stone blocks that comprise the two towers are also the symbol of special national heritages, such as the Da Dia Reef, a famous destination in Phu Yen.
The World Travel Awards is the most prestigious travel organization in the world. The World Travel Awards 2023 ceremony was held in Dubai (United Arab Emirates) on December 1, 2023.
Prior to being voted World's Leading City Monuments 2023 by the World Travel Awards, Nghinh Phong Tower Square was the only representative of Southeast Asia to be honored at the Asian Townscape Award 2023, which was just awarded in mid-November 2023, in Korea.
