According to authorities in Thanh Khe District, the ‘Mother Nhu and 7 Thanh Khe Heroes’ relic site has cultural, historical, architectural, and art values. After a long period of use, some items of the site such as a souvenir house, secret tunnels, landscapes and toilets are in a state of deterioration and need to be repaired to preserve.
The project is meant to meet the cultural needs of local people, serve as tourist attraction for both domestic and foreign tourists, and educate the young generation about the nation's heroic revolutionary traditions and history.
The 'Mother Nhu and 7 Thanh Khe Heroes' site was recognised as a national historical relic site by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in 2009.
Since 1967, the site has been used as a secret shelter for revolutionary cadres and soldiers, plus a hidden storage for weapons and ammunition for the revolutionary force. It has been an important place in the key strategic triangle area: An Khe - Phu Loc - Thanh Ha Khe of the resistance war against the US invaders.
On the morning of the same day, the Thanh Khe District People's Committee launched the traditional house combined with a library after upgrade, and held the awards ceremony for a logo design contest for Thanh Khe District.

The traditional house combined with a library was renovated and upgraded on an area of nearly 600m2, following a 2-storey open architecture.
The upper floor is a traditional house with a ceremonial space and an area displaying the district-related images and information. The lower floor is a library with a reading room and a book warehouse that can be used for free research.
The renovation and upgrade of the traditional house combined with a library is a practical and meaningful activity, aiming to promote reading culture, preserve and educate revolutionary traditions for Thanh Khe people, especially the younger generation.
On the occasion, the district authorities awarded prizes to winners of a logo design contest.
