Gau Tao festival will take place on January 7, 2024 in Tram Tau District of Yen Bai Province to preserve and restore traditional folk cultural values of the H’Mong ethnic minority group.
The festival contributes to promoting the unique traditional cultural values of the locality to tourists, arousing the tourism potential of Tram Tau District.

Gau Tao Festival is a long-standing religious activity of the H’Mong people in Tram Tau, held at the beginning of the new year to offer thanks to deities, pray for good health, good weather and abundant crops.
The activities aim to preserve and restore traditional folk cultural values of the H’Mong people towards building a local culture imbued with national cultural identity, associated with tourism development.
