According to Lonely Planet, train travel always delivers plenty of magic. You can meet fellow travellers and make new friends; the sound of wheels rolling is like the music to you while you eat and sleep; landscape and scenery outside the train are unique landscape paintings that move with the train's wheels, “offering an adventure, an experience, an insight into the heart of a nation.”.
The Reunification Express Railway of Vietnam was built in 1881, running mainly along the coast, in a 1,072 mile journey connecting Ha Noi to Ho Chi Minh City. There are 6 different trains, moving frequently between Ho Chi Minh City in the South and Ha Noi in the North. Seats ranging from sleeping cars, regular seats and soft seats. Lonely Planet indicated that there is no more perfect way to explore Ha Noi and Ho Chi Minh City - the twin metropolises of Vietnam than by train. The Reunification Express train will take passengers through bustling cities, swiftly passing by spectacular coastlines.
This is not the first time that the Reunification Express train has been loved and praised by the international press. This has been one of Southeast Asia’s best-loved railways - and one of the most epic overnight train journeys in the world. In which, English Reporter Andrew Eames wrote a whole article on the Independent to tell about his Vietnam exploration via train. Or the Time Out Magazine listed Reunification Express from Ha Noi to Ho Chi Minh City as one of 11 of the world’s greatest train journeys.
