A green start-up model in Quang Nam
The Quang Nam start-up ecosystem came into operation in early 2018. Since then, the province has given priority to innovative start-ups in some sectors, including tourism and food, catering services, agriculture (including medicinal materials), information technology and communications, supporting industries, mechanics, and automation.
Among them are green start-up models, most of which are successful, contributing to the protection of natural resources and ecosystems.
Some typical start-up projects in Quang Nam are the timeless waterproofing cement project VIPRI by Nguyen Van Dung from Phu Ninh, the energy-efficent electric stove by Nguyen Thanh Vi from Dien Ban, the agricultural tourism “Old Brick Kiln” by Thanh Nga from Duy Xuyen, solar energy by Pham Phu Hien from Tam Ky, and Noni Best One cooperative by Bui Thi Tuyet Nhung.
According to Dinh Viet Hoa, Chairman of the National Start-up Association of Vietnam, start-up activities in Quang Nam are always pioneering and paving the way for current national start-up values, such as tourism and agricultural start-ups.
Green star-up is a current trend, providing solutions and creating products that have positive impacts on the environment and society, ensuring sustainable economic development.
At the same time, the national strategy identifies green growth as an important solution to the process of restructuring the economy associated with innovating growth models and improving competitiveness towards the net-zero emissions goal in the future.
And innovation is the key factor that determines the survival of a business.
