Update: 25/01/2024
An exhibition themed “Spring colours through folk paintings” officially opened in Ha Long City, in the northern province of Quang Ninh, on January 23.

The delegates visit the exhibition.

With three main spaces, the exhibition displays 20 sets of folk paintings selected from the collections of folk paintings at the Vietnam Fine Arts Museum.

The paintings, with bright and fresh colours, bring wishes of peace and happiness to art lovers on the occasion of the new spring.

Within the exhibition’s framework, the organising board also arranged spaces for visitors to experience Dong Ho folk paintings on Do paper. These unique activities during the Vietnamese Tet (Lunar New Year) Festival will be reproduced at the exhibition, creating a strong highlight for visitors.

Do Quyet Tien, Director of Quang Ninh Museum, said the exhibition aims to preserve and promote the heritage values of Vietnamese folk culture and give visitors the chance to experience the arts and learn more about folk paintings.

The event also contributes to promoting cooperation and exchange of professional activities between the Vietnam Museum of Fine Arts and Quang Ninh Museum in displaying and introducing the heritages to the public.
