Quang Nam My Son Sanctuary - an attractive destination

In 2023, My Son Sanctuary (Quang Nam province) attracted 380 thousand visitors, generating over 60 billion VND in revenue, exceeding 344.31% compared to the same period last year. These figures reflect the remarkable tourism recovery of My Son destination.

My Son has developed many new products to serve visitors.

In 2023, despite the rise in international visitors to Quang Nam, it fell short of expectations, especially from traditional markets. Nevertheless, My Son tourism still achieved noteworthy results, surpassing challenges.

The Management Board of My Son Cultural Heritage reported that the total number of visitors to the temple complex in 2023 reached 380,000, achieving 344.31% compared to the same period last year (335,000 international visitors, achieving 500.90% compared to the same period last year).

The total revenue reached 60.305 billion VND, nearly 216% of the annual plan. Retail service revenue amounted to 5.3 billion VND, with explanation reaching 255 million VND.

In 2023, the Management Board conducted various promotional activities both offline and online, including participation in events like Vietnam International Travel Mart, Da Nang and Quang Nam fellow countrymen’s associations, Digital Transformation Day in Quang Nam Province (Hoi An), and the Exhibition of cultural heritage space and traditional handicrafts in Ninh Binh.

In 2023, the conservation and restoration work of A group of temples at UNESCO heritage site of My Son Sanctuary in Quang Nam province was officially completed and opened to visitors after several years of construction. This effort contributed to expanding the heritage space and enhancing the beauty of My Son.

A notable success achieved by The Management Board of My Son Cultural Heritage in 2023 was the digital transformation efforts.

The introduction of the multilingual Audio Guide product in six languages for testing from mid to late June 2023 yielded unexpected results.
