Training on responsible tourism associated with nature and wildlife conservation

(TITC) - On 25 - 26 April 2024, in Tam Dao town, Vinh Phuc Province, the Vietnam National Authority of Tourism in collaboration with the Vietnam CITES Management Authority and WWF - Vietnam organized the program "Training on responsible tourism associated with nature and wildlife conservation”.

The program is organized to implement the Law on Tourism, Vietnam Tourism Development Strategy to 2030, National Strategy on Green Growth for the period 2021-2030, vision 2050, within the framework of the project "Reduction ivory demand". At the same time, it helps raising awareness of tour guides on responsible tourism.

The program attracted the participation of tour guides, tour operators, tourism lecturers from tourism universities and colleges.

At the training class, the participants were informed about CITES regulations and Vietnam's laws on preventing wildlife trade in general, and ivory in particular; Training on responsible tourism guiding skills associated with wildlife protection, saying no to ivory for the sustainable development of Vietnam tourism and the livelihoods of stakeholders.
