Last week, the village hosted the second Nhon Hai Sea Tourism Festival, aptly named “The Call of the Blue Sea, the Season of Seaweed,” to herald the summer tourism season. The festival featured an array of activities, including dragon boat racing, SUP racing, beach soccer and volleyball competitions, and the release of young eels into the sea to help regenerate aquatic resources.
Local authorities highlighted the event as a prime opportunity to showcase Nhon Hai as an eco-friendly fishing village to both domestic and international tourists. The village is known for its pristine beaches and clean streets, with a strong emphasis on minimizing single-use plastic products and promoting recycling. The villagers exhibit a commendable commitment to environmental protection, ensuring that tourism activities align with sustainable practices.
