Book spreads unique values of national treasures
With the desire to help readers understand systematically and thoroughly all 294 National Treasures, at the same time, with the aim of honouring and spreading the extremely precious values of national treasures, Su That (Truth) National Political Publishing House coordinated with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, to compile and publish the Vietnamese-English bilingual book "Thousand Years of Viet Nam National Civilization".
These 294 national treasures are "artefacts of special value, rare and typical of the country in terms of history, culture and science", currently being kept in most provinces and cities, across the country. They are preserved and protected under special regimes, with specific preservation methods depending on the material characteristics and age of each treasure.
The Vietnamese-English bilingual book "Thousand Years of Viet Nam National Civilization" will take readers through the chronological journey of national treasures.
The book, concisely introduces the treasures, enough for readers to have a basic, general view of their origin, era, characteristics and unique and typical values. Accompanying that condensed information are images of each treasure.
The book is expected to help the general public at home and abroad better understand the historical and cultural values "woven" by the hands and minds of Vietnamese people.
