UK-based daily newspaper The Daily Telegraph recently selected its Top 50 greatest beaches in the world, including My Khe beach and Non Nuoc beach in central coastal city of Da Nang.
In the category of the best places for atmosphere, Vietnamese beaches ranked second among a total of six places worldwide.
“Once embroiled in war, this perfect pair are lovely in peacetime,” according to the writer Chris Leadbeater.
Now flanked by modern hotels and chic resorts, this perfect pair are even lovelier in peacetime, The Daily Telegraph wrote.
Ipanema in Rio de Janeiro of Brazil took the top position in the best for atmosphere category. Enjoying a walk before breakfast and you will see it at its most beautiful, with striking views of the spiky Dois Irmãos peaks to the west and the Arpoador rocks in the east, the UK newspaper shared.
My Khe beach and Non Nuoc beach were followed by Palm West beach of Dubai, Playa Coral in Varadero of Cuba, Hamdeok beach in Jeju of the Republic of Korea, and Playa de La Concha of San Sebastián in Spain.
To find the ideal coast for every traveler, the media outlet identified remote spots teeming with wildlife, striking panoramic views, atmospheric areas with bustling beach bars and attractions, destinations with luxurious hotels, quiet remote corners, as well as family-friendly stretches of sand and more.
Nihiwatu of Sumba in Indonesia came first in the best for wildlife category. Meanwhile, the best for views category saw the top spot belong to Three Cliffs Bay of Gower in Wales.
Dhigurah Island in the Maldives was chosen as the leading position in the category for best luxury accommodation.
Waikiki Beach in Hawaii of the United States took the lead in the category of the best for being active.
