Ta Giang is a small village in Thanh Son Commune, Khanh Son District, Khanh Hoa Province, located about 60 kilometers from Cam Ranh City. The 20-kilometer Ta Giang trekking route is renowned for its crystal-clear streams and expansive meadows, all framed by towering mountains. The trail is easy to navigate, making it ideal for beginners, including children, who can enjoy the stunning scenery and comfortable camping areas with breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains.
As the journey begins, travelers are welcomed by a stream that marks the boundary between Ninh Thuan and Khanh Hoa provinces. The water is so clear that small pebbles and schools of fish are easily visible. The soothing sound of the gurgling stream relaxes the mind, and the surrounding lush primary forest adds to the tranquil atmosphere. In certain areas, the stream flows rapidly, creating natural pools perfect for bathing and fishing. After a refreshing swim, travelers can indulge in grilled stream fish and sour fish soup with wild vegetables.

Continuing along the Ta Giang trekking route, hikers will enter the pristine Ta Giang Forest. Here, the stream’s water turns a unique emerald green as it deepens. The stream is flanked by white rocks of various sizes, resting quietly under the shade of tall trees, making them ideal spots for resting. The high humidity in the area fosters the growth of vibrant green moss and lichens, which cling to the rocks and tree trunks, creating a lush, green environment.
The journey’s final destination is the vast Ta Giang Meadow, where lush vegetation stretches across rolling hills. Travelers can set up camp on the expansive grassy hills, with the valley offering a picturesque setting perfect for watching the sunset or sunrise over the verdant meadow.
In addition to exploring the natural landscape, visitors have the opportunity to experience the life of the Raglai ethnic minority, savor mountain specialties prepared by the locals, and learn about their rich culture and ancient traditions.
The best time to explore Ta Giang is from November to March, when there is less rain, making the paths less slippery than during the rainy season. Additionally, the dry season lowers the water levels in the streams, making trekking and exploration easier without the risk of flooding.
