Located in Ba Nui Hamlet, Binh An Commune, Kien Luong District, Kien Giang Province, Mo So Cave lies about 27 kilometers from Ha Tien Town. Formed millions of years ago, this limestone cave spans approximately 2,000 square meters. The terrain of Mo So Cave is rugged, with deep passages and interconnected chambers, some large enough to shelter thousands. The towering limestone cliffs add to its striking and dramatic beauty. Its ecosystem, including mangrove forests and limestone formations, makes it a vital part of Kien Giang’s world biosphere reserve.

Mo So Cave also played a pivotal role in Vietnam’s history. It was a revolutionary base during the resistance wars against French and American invaders. The cave’s natural defenses and freshwater supply enabled Vietnamese soldiers to endure and ultimately prevail, despite repeated enemy assaults. Today, the site serves as a place of remembrance, educating future generations about Vietnam’s resilience and fostering national pride.

In the early morning, the cave radiates a peaceful beauty, ideal for quiet walks and exploring the lives of nearby ethnic communities. As the day progresses, the serene atmosphere offers a perfect spot for relaxation. By evening, the area becomes lively with local festivities, particularly those involving the vibrant Khmer community.
