Situated about 60km west of Ha Noi centre, Ba Vi is a famous destination with its unspoiled nature and the historically millennial hallmark dated back to the time of the legendary combat between Saint Son Tinh (Saint of Mountain) and Saint Thuy Tinh (Saint of Water).
Being endowed by nature with beautiful waterfalls, lakes, primary forests and temperate climate, Ba Vi has potentials to become a familiar destination for national and oversea tourists.
Presently, Ba Vi is considered one of attractive ecotourism sites of the North of Viet Nam with several large scale resorts; such as Kings Island Golf Court, Khoang Xanh-Suoi Tien, Tan Da, Thien Son, Ao Vua and Suoi Hai.
Here is also well-known with rich and diverse tropical and subtropical species of flora and fauna which are well-preserved to provide a huge potential for ecotourism development in the Ba Vi National Park.
Ba Vi National Park is located on a mountain range of which the highest peak is Dinh Vua at 1,296 m, followed by Tan Vien at 1,226 m and Ngoc Hoa at 1,120 m. The total park’s area is 10,782 hectares with more than 1,000 species of flora under 649 branches and 160 families; 342 fauna species including 3 endemic and 66 rare ones.
Thanks to the natural beauty and special geographic and climate features converging into the park’s ecosystem, Ba Vi is one of mountainous ecological tourism centres in the country besides Da Lat, Sa Pa, Tam Dao...
Visiting Ba Vi, tourists will have a chance to join in many favorable tourist activities such as biking, riding by animal cart, mountain trekking and farm tours to name a few.
