Cam Ranh Bay – Ideal Destination

It's about 60 km from South of Nha Trang city (Khanh Hoa), Cam Ranh is one of the three finest and best natural water bays in the world including San Francisco bay (the US) and Rio De ]aniero bay (Brazil).

Cam Ranh bay is located on an area of approximate 60 km2, nearly closed by Cam Ranh peninsula in the North, covering the East and West. Its narrowest position is about 10 km, the largest is 20 km. The average depth of the bay is from 18 - 20 m. Cam Ranh bay is also the best deep water port in Viet Nam; it can welcome ships with capacity of about 100 thousand tones to come in the port. Ships with capacity of about 200 thousand tones may anchor outside the bay. Cam Ranh bay is an ideal place to organize international sea tourism types such as: rowing, fishing, diving for seeing coral, relax, disease treatment, climbing...

For a long time, Cam Ranh bay has been known as a airtight and beautiful place; here, mountain and sea combine together forming a beautiful natural landscape.

The nature of Cam Ranh bay is virtually primitive compared with the long and fine sand banks. Here, sand contains a very large silica and titan which have ever been exported to Japan for manufacturing glass. In the bay bed, there are very nice corals and colorful fishes. But the most beautiful is still granite stone community which is affected by wind and seawater forming typical shapes. It may be said that very beautiful will seaside resorts next to immeasurable high green coconut-palms form a typical feature of the central coastal region.

 

It takes visitors about 40 minutes to visit Binh Ba from Da Bac port (Ba Ngoi) by motor boat. Here, it's windy all year round, waterways are infinite, landscape is charming. Or visiting Vung Nom, a crowded and peaceful fishing village, overwhelmed by green coconut-palms and sweet longan trees; visitors will enjoy fresh sea foods like Binh Ba lobster, Thuy Trieu oyster, snail, crab, gracilaria, cuttle fish and other fishes. If visiting Cam Ranh in the mango season, tourists will enjoy the small sweet mangos with thin peel. Cam Ranh is also the large gateway of the country, exporting diversified products of Tay Nguyen and the central region to other countries such as forest products, rubber, tea, coffee, tobacco, sugar, fruits...
