Energy Savings Media Awards

A ceremony was kicked off recently in Ha Long, Quang Ninh province, for the 2008 Energy Savings Media Awards.
An annual event, the awards are to encourage the media to provide information about energy can be saved at State offices, enterprises and in the community.

The event was organized by the Ho Chi Minh City Energy Savings Center in conjunction with the Project for higher energy efficiency at medium and small-sized enterprises under the sponsorship of the United Nations Development Program.

One year after the contest was launched, the organizing board received a large number of articles from central and local media. Eighteen articles by 16 reporters were given awards: four radio articles, four television articles and the rest print articles.
