Toyota Motor Vietnam (TMV) on Monday launched a project supporting the development of the eco-village model at Truong Hanh Hamlet, Xuan Truong Commune, Nghi Xuan District, Ha Tinh Province to address environmental issues remaining at Truong Hanh Hamlet.
The project, which was in coordination with Center of Environment Training and Communication (CETAC)-General Department of Environment, aims to improve the community’s environmental awareness of the sustainable use of natural resources, land and water, to set a green, clean, beautiful appearance and sustainable development.
This is the third project in the overall goal of building an eco-village model, which was started in 2009 and is one of the environmental protection activities of the Master Go Green project by TMV, the General Department of Environment and Ministry of Education & Training implemented since 2008.
At the launch, infant trees were delivered to local residents and all households and local authority representatives also signed commitments to environmental protection in Truong Hanh hamlet.
With a total budget of VND1 billion from TMV, the project includes raising awareness of environmental protection to improve the quality of life of local residents and implementing practical activities to help local residents to overcome their difficulties.
