(TITC) – Located in centre of Hue city and overlooking the Huong River, Saigon Morin, a 4-star hotel, was built in 1901 with 178 rooms of French style. The hotel is just 20 minutes from Phu Bai airport and 5 minutes from the train station.
Since 2010, according to the requirement of energy saving and expenditure reducing, Saigon Morin Hotel has installed solar energy heater system for daily activities of hotel.
This is also the first hotel applying green growth model in Hue, focusing on environmental protection such as solar energy applications, energy consumption management, linen re-using, and giving priority for local goods and foods. In addition, the hotel also propagandizes and encourages visitors to participate in environmental protection.
With the above model, Saigon-Morin Hotel has brought many benefits for not only themselves but also local community, contributing to environmental protection.
At present, there are hotels and individuals in Thua Thien - Hue Province using solar energy equipments aiming to save expenditure, stabilize their operations and protect environment.
