The central province of Khanh Hoa has registered to take part in the Earth Hour campaign. Accordingly, one town in each district in Khanh Hoa and the central wards in Cam Ranh Town and Nha Trang City will be chosen for the Earth Hour on the evening of March 28.
In Nha Trang, some wards along two major streets of Tran Phu and Pham Van Dong will turn off their lights for one hour on March 28.
The Khanh Hoa People’s Committee requested cities, towns, and districts to persuade local people to attend this campaign.
Some big hotels in the province, namely Vinpearl, Diamond Bay, Yasaka, Anamadra, Sunrise, Que Huong, and Hai Yen will join the move by using candles for one hour on March 28.
Previously, Hanoi, Hue, Hoi An, and HCM City registered for the campaign, which is held by the World Wildlife Fund (WWF). This global campaign was initiated in 2007. Around one billion people in over 1,400 cities in the world will participate in this program.
