You Cycle You Save campaign launched in Hanoi

Update: 18/04/2013
The ‘You Cycle You Save’ (YCYS) campaign to change people's perceptions and habits about using eco-friendly vehicles, was officially launched in Hanoi on April 10 and will continue through June 30.

The campaign encourages people to ride bicycles and is offering promotions and discounts at 53 stores and restaurants in seven Hanoi districts, including Hai Ba Trung, Cau Giay, Thanh Xuan, Dong Da, Hoan Kiem, Tay Ho and Ba Dinh.

It also aims to create a network of destinations that offer preferential programs for customers who go there by bicycle.

The YCYS campaign is organized by MBike Vietnam magazine and Green Destination, a group of university students in Hanoi with a mission to reduce air pollution in the capital. It began in December 2012 with the advice of experts and support from Tea Talk Vietnam.

MBike Vietnam, the first bilingual (English - Vietnamese) cycling magazine in Vietnam, published its first issue in March 2013.
