Nearly 600 photos sent to "Earth Hour" photo contest

"Earth Hour" photo contest launched by the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) had received nearly 600 photos by April 6. The photos show photographers' experience about the Earth Hour campaign in Vietnam, reflecting a part of enthusiastic response of Vietnamese people to the event.

"Giữ lửa" (Maintaining the flame) by Lao Dong's reporter Giang Hai has been qualified among 25 best photos. The organising board is going to pick out one best photo which is expected to be awarded next week.

The awarded photo will be published on "The Vietnam Nation" and other newspapers, as well as used for Earth Hour campaign in Vietnam in 2010.
