Two hotels in Viet Nam receive “Green Globe” certification

(TITC) - The Mövenpick Hotel Ha Noi and Mövenpick Hotel Sai Gon have become the first two hotels in Viet Nam to receive Green Globe Certification.

The two hotels were judged on 337 different criteria, including customer satisfaction, water consumption, waste management, energy use, community commitment, internal training…

The General Manager of Mövenpick Hotel Ha Noi Phillip Jones said “The hotel service sector is a large consumer of energy and other resources. The Mövenpick Hotel Ha Noi aims to reduce energy consumption through the measures such as using energy efficient lighting, reducing water consumption and processing of waste and chemicals”.

“The Green Globe” certification has been internationally recognized as an indicator for sustainable development in tourism sector. It affirms the commitment to operating in an economically, environmentally and socially responsible manner. Through the series of initiatives, we want to build awareness of the staff and hope our customers, partners, suppliers and the community to join hands with us to make a better world” The General Manager of The Mövenpick Saigon Hotel Mr. Craig Smith emphasized.
