Famtrips help to stimulate tourism sector

Famtrips have become popular in Da Nang in recent years. The purpose of a famtrip is to provide participating travel agents and reporters the opportunity to survey the tourist attractions and products at the locality they are visiting.

This helps tour agencies to develop new tours as well as to promote and sell their tourism products to customers in a more suitable and professional manner.

Thanks to the many famtrips to Da Nang which have been organised in recent years, local tourism has witnessed numerous positive results.  In particular, local tourism businesses are offering more tours to Da Nang than to such neighbouring localities as Hue and Hoi An. 

Famtrips also give travel agents the opportunity to meet each other and to enhance their cooperation.  As a result, a number of attractive preferential tours have been launched to attract more visitors to the city, and to lengthen their period of stay.

The city is seeing an increasing number of domestic and international tourists thanks to the positive results from famtrips and also due to the opening of several new flight routes.  Most notably, the number of air passengers to the city in July increased by 56.3% year-on-year to an estimated 24,350 largely due to the opening of 2 new flight routes by Vietnam Airlines.
