Holland helps Vietnam to adapt to climate change
Update: 04/06/2009
The Dutch Directorate for Development Cooperation has provided over 50,000 Euros to help central Thua Thien-Hue province adapt to climate change. The project will be carried out in the districts of Nam Dong, Quang Dien and Hue City, where the local authorities will be helped to integrate measures to adapt to climate change in both administrative and community activities to maximise the work’s effectiveness.
The project also aims to promote coordination and dialogue between communities, climate change experts and local authorities when confronting the issue.
It will also hold training courses and seminars to raise local people’s awareness of climate change and ways of adapting to it.
