Prime Minister (PM) Nguyen Tan Dung has directed the transfer of Nha Trang port to the management of Khanh Hoa provincial People’s Committee.
Specifically, the PM asked the Ministry of Transport (MoT) to coordinate with the Ministry of Planning and Investment (MPI) and Ministry of Finance (MoF) to instruct the Vietnam Shipping Lines Corporation (Vinalines) to shift shares of Nha Trang Port Joint-Stock Company in accordance with legal regulations.
The MoF was urged to preside over and associate with the MoT, MPI and other related agencies to transfer and receive state-owned capital, which Vinalines is the owner representative for in Nha Trang Port Joint-stock Company. In addition, the MoF is responsible for guiding the Khanh Hoa provincial People’s Committee to pay the expenses for Vinalines under legal regulations.<
