Ensuring timely development of decrees and circulars guiding Law on Environmental Protection 2014

It was stated by the Minister Nguyen Minh Quang at the meeting on the formulation of decrees and circulars guiding the Law on Environmental Protection (LEP) 2014 that took place in the morning of October 6, at the headquarter of Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment.

In order to implement the Law on Environmental Protection, in the program of development of legal documents in 2014, the Vietnam Environmental Administration was assigned to be focal point to  develop five (05) Government’s decrees and three (03) decisions of the Prime Minister, including Decree on Environmental Protection Planning, SEA, EIA and Environmental Protection Plan;

Decree on the management of waste and scraps; Decree guiding in detailed some articles of the Law on Environmental Protection; Decree on determination of environmental damage (replacing Decree No. 113/2010/ND-CP dated 03/12/2010); Decree on conditions for implementation of environmental monitoring activities (replacing the Decree 27/2013/ND-CP dated 29/03/2013); Decision of the Prime Minister specifying list of scraps permitted to import; Decision of the Prime Minister specifying retrieval and treatment of discarded products.

In addition, in the program of development of legal documents in 2014, Vietnam Environment Administration has also developed 08 circulars of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment.

Vietnam Environment Administration is finalizing these legal documents to submit to the Minister to ensure the submission to Government and the Prime Minister before October 15, 2014 as required.
