The parks of Gia Dinh, Hoang Van Thu, Tao Dan and the Saigon Zoo with thousands of trees are ideal venues for fresh air and relaxation of HCM City people and visitors.
Gia Dinh Park, located in the districts of Go Vap, Tan Binh and Phu Nhuan, was formed in 1978. The initial area was quite large but it was then gradually narrowed.
Since 2005, the area has been about 32 hectares. The park is considered the largest green lung of Saigon.
The park is divided by a 650m long and 20m wide road connecting Hong Ha Road with Nguyen Thai Son intersection leading to Tan Son Nhat airport.
Gia Dinh Park currently has approximately 1,000 trees of various types and more than 63,000 m2 of grass. There is a large playground for children with an area of about 4,000 m2 with 30 free games.
