TV series launched to promote tourism in Viet Nam

Update: 05/04/2016
A television series entitled ‘Tour de Vietnam’ was launched recently with the aim of promoting Viet Nam’s tourism to viewers around the world.

Co-organised by the Saigon Tourist Cable Television Limited Company (SCTV) and the Viet Nam Television Corporation's NetViet television channel, the series is broadcast daily (excluding Sundays) from April 1 at 19:50 on SCTV and 12:00 on NetViet.

Each episode lasts 12 minutes and has three main parts, including Viet Nam’s tourist attractions, tangible and intangible cultural heritages, superb cuisine, as well as the country’s long-standing traditions.

‘Tour de Vietnam’ also provides viewers with useful tips as well as tourism promotion programmes for visiting Viet Nam.

As SCTV is one of the major cable television providers in Viet Nam with extensive nationwide coverage while NetViet boasts satellite coverage across Asia, Europe, Australia and North America, ‘Tour de Vietnam’ is expected to provide information on Viet Nam’s tourism for more than 50 million TV subscribers around the world.

It is also designed to connect tourism service providers with customers, contributing to attracting more visitors to Viet Nam and raising the tourism sector’s role in the country’s economic growth.
