Surveying geology in Ly Son Island

5 experts from Japan, Malaysia, Philippines and 13 domestic experts just surveyed geological conditions in Ly Son Island located in Binh Chau District, Quang Ngai Province and surrounding areas.

 

The experts will focus on environmental and geological conditions at this region. They will take sample and collect relevant data relevant to important locations such as: Chua Hang, Thoi Loi volcano mouth, Cau cave, Am Linh Tu, To Vo gate, Duc pagoda, Gieng Tien well. Besides, the delegation will also survey some locations such as: Be island; Binh Chau; Chau Sa citadel; Thien An mountain; Tra Bong, etc. where cracking activities of the earth occur drastically.

 

Collected data from this survey will be the foundation for an international scientific workshop on the project “Global Geological Park at Ly Son-Binh Chau and surrounding areas” which expected to be held at the end of April by the Quang Ngai People’s Committee.
