Exhibition captures beauty of Vietnamese Northwest region

An exhibition called “Viet Nam: The magnificent beauty and emotion”, featuring the beauty and traditional culture of the Northwest region is taken place in Ha Noi.

 

The exhibition is an activity to celebrate the establishment day of Vietnamese tourism (Jul 9, 1960 – Jul 9, 2016) and the next year’s National tourism Year hosted by Northwest region.

 

Three provinces from Northwest region, Lai Chau, Tuyen Quang and Ha Giang have introduced an array of activities, including traditional art shows and photo exhibition of traditional culture of each province. Visitors to the exhibition will also have opportunities to discover a variety of local products, such as Tuyen Quang tea, Tam Duong tea, Lai Chau rice etc.   

 

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Hoang Quoc Trung, Vice Director of Lai Chau Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism said that, a similar exhibition in Mar 2016 on the occasion of Week of Lai Chau Culture and Tourism 2016 and this event share the same goal to introduce the beauty of traditional culture and famous products of Lai Chau and Northwest region to domestic and international visitors. This is also an opportunity to establish the collaboration link between Ha Noi and Northwest provinces to promote Viet Nam as an attractive and friendly destination.

 

Northwest region will host Visit Viet Nam Year 2017. The region aims to welcome approx. 2.3 million international tourist arrivals and 14 million domestic tourist arrivals by 2020 with the total revenue from tourism of 22,000 billion VND.
