With the theme “The most sophisticated features of Vietnamese Ao Dai”, the Ao Dai Festival Ha Noi 2016 will take place at the Imperial Citadel of Thang Long on Oct 14 to 16.

The festival is the opening event, marking Ha Noi’s first efforts to become a fashion center of the country in a near future. It also aims to significantly contribute to the preservation and promotion of the national’s traditional arts and culture values.
Through 50 booths of exhibition, visitors will have opportunities to learn more about the development history of Vietnamese Ao Dai. The material and the equipment to make Ao Dai in the old times will be re-created and displayed while new designs of Ao Dai from famous Vietnamese fashion designers will be presented to audiences in addition to traditional collections from various handicraft villages, specializing in tailoring Ao Dai, such as Van Phuc silk village, Quat Dong embroidery village and Trach Xa Ao Dai village etc.
Ha Noi Ao Dai Festival 2016 will be a great occasion for enterprises and individuals working in fashion industry to communicate and seek for cooperation opportunities with domestic and international partners. The fashion event has also been designed to create cultural and tourism connections from Ha Noi to other destinations of Viet Nam through each region’s characteristics in fashion.
