The 712 hectare Phuoc Minh Wind Power Plant will have 23 turbines with a combined capacity of 48.3 MW and cost VND1.66 trillion (US$74.7 million).
But the project has not yet been listed in the Ninh Thuan Wind Power Development Plan for 2011-20 approved by the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
Under the plan, the provincial targets to develop 12 wind power projects with a total capacity of 200 MW.
The province People’s Committee has sought approval from the ministry to incorporate the project into the plan so that it can be developed soon.
