The 3.6-ha temple will be located on the grounds of the proposed administrative centre in Bình Thủy District.
The work includes a gate, showroom, square and two shrines for the ancestors Âu Cơ and Lạc Long Quân as well as for the Hùng Kings, considered the mythical founders of the nation. The temple is being built to commemorate and worship the founders.
The money for compensation and resettlement of residents will be taken from the State budget, while private investors will fund the construction.
Construction is expected to be completed by 2020.
