The central province of Thua Thien-Hue has invested US$$167,162 to repair the Trang Tien Bridge crossing Huong River, in Hue city.
The work, conducted by An Giang Dragon company, is scheduled to be completed in October this year.
Ten sight-seeing locations with a length of 7m and width of 1,25m each along the bridge will be restored. In the last time of reparation over 20 years ago, the locations were erased, affecting the architecture of the bridge.
Trang Tien Bridge is 402.60m long and 5.40m wide. It was designed by Gusrave Eiffel and built in 1897-1899 under the range of King Thanh Thai. The bridge was restored for the first time in 1937 under the King Bao Dai’s reign, and the second time in the 1991-1995 period.
