An exhibition showcasing portraits of leaders from 21 APEC member economies made from pottery will take place at the Vietnam Fine Arts Museum, Hanoi, from November 18-21.
The exhibition will display Dong Nai pottery paintings and photos featuring pottery paintings gifts presented to APEC leaders during the freshly-concluded APEC Economic Leaders’ Week by Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc.
The paintings were made by a group of artists and artisans from the southern province of Dong Nai during the 2016-2017 period.
Portraits of late President Ho Chi Minh, General Vo Nguyen Giap, Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc and National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan will also be exhibited at the event.
Apart from those presented to several APEC leaders, the rest will be sent to embassies of countries and territories in Vietnam.
The event is expected be held in the southern province of Dong Nai and Ho Chi Minh City after coming to Hanoi.
Vietnam is the host of the APEC Year 2017, with the culmination of the APEC Economic Leaders’ Week in central city of Da Nang from November 6-11.
