Vietnam Tourism Association (VITA) held a press conference on Vietnam International Tourism Travel Mart - VITM Ha Noi 2018 to inform the media about the preparations undertaken by the organizing committee. Mr. Vu The Binh - Permanent Deputy Chairman of VITA, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hung, Chairman of Vietnam E-commerce Association (VECOM), Mr. Vu Quoc Tri - Chief of Administrative Office of Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT) and Mr. Nguyen Huu Viet - Representatives of Ha Noi Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion Centre co-chaired the meeting. Especially, about 50 reporters and journalists in charge of tourism attended the conference.
VITM Ha Noi 2018 is going to take place at the Friendship Cultural Palace, 91 Tran Hung Dao Street, Hoan Kiem Dist., Ha Noi from 29th March to 1st April 2018. The Opening Ceremony will be at 8:30am on 29th March 2018 at Grand Hall, Block A1 of Friendship Cultural Palace in Ha Noi. On 29th March morning, the show is opened for businesses to business exchange (B2B) and the latter days are opened to public exclusively.
VITM Ha Noi 2018 will carry out many activities and present exhibition with the theme "Online tourism, Vietnam tourism advance to 4.0 industry revolution", encouraging and supporting enterprises to access opportunities in the digital era. In this regards, VECOM in collaboration with VITA organize a forum on online tourism at this event. Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hung expressed his confidence by sharing that online tourism will increase significantly in 2025, being equivalent to the amount of retail tours. He stressed that mobile technologies play an important role in promoting and consuming tourism products, which takes more advantage than the independent tourism businesses promote themselves as they did before. Therefore, tourism proves itself the most obvious evidence of the application of the 4.0 industry revolution.
Speaking at the press conference, Mr. Vu Quoc Tri said VITM Ha Noi increasingly illustrates its professionalism and VNAT definitely support VITA as the main organizations in their idea expression, organization methodology. VNAT confirms that online tourism will be the future of Vietnam's tourism industry, being in accordance with the common trend in the world. Besides, VITM Ha Noi 2018 is also significant promotion event of the industry. However, he re-affirmed that the critical factor for success is tourism product quality. Therefore, in VITM Ha Noi 2018, VNAT is going to hold Agro-Tourism Seminar and Tourism Promotion workshop to introduce Tourism Law.
Mr. Nguyen Huu Viet said Ha Noi will introduce the booth with the participation of 10 tourism businesses, while showcasing the authentic traditional art performances which attract tourists at the exhibition space.
At the press conference, many questions were addressed to the chairmen. Regarding the organization the following issues are included: how to achieve high efficiency of B2B activity? How to ensure the food safety and sound control in the booths? Some other technical questions related to business as what activities Tripi will introduce to attract more online tourists? And what are the specific agriculture tourism products?
Noting the questions and providing answers to these questions, the chairmen explained that B2B activities and seminars of VITM Hanoi 2018 will be held indoor to limit the noise and the organizing committee will extend their best efforts to ensure the safe and sanitation, food hygiene to give VITM attendees best experience and impression.
VITM Ha Noi 2018 is expected to have 500 booths, with the participation of about 679 businesses, management and tourist promotion agencies of 44 provinces and cities throughout the country and from 21 countries and territories. Thus, VITM Ha Noi 2018 will be a lively tourism tradeshow event, strongly stimulating demand for tourism, bringing practical benefits for the public as well as the entities which presenting the booths. Expectedly, there would be over 40,000 low-priced air tickets and over 15,000 special discount tour packages will be offered in VITM Ha Noi 2018.
