Viet Nam Mountain Marathon 2017 to open

(TITC) – From 22 – 24 September 2017, Viet Nam Mountain Marathon (VMM) 2017 will take place in Sapa, Lao Cai - a spectacular mountainous province of North Viet Nam.

The VMM has been one of the biggest trailing running events in Viet Nam and Southeast Asia region which is organized by Topas Travel.

This year, the event is expected to attract the participation of nearly 2,500 runners from 50 countries and territories. The runners will take part in 5 different mountain trails with distances of 100km, 70km, 42km, 21km and 10km.

The routes will pass through almost parts of Sapa District including Sapa – Ho Village (Ban Ho Commune) – Sin Chai Commune – Su Pan Commune – Muong Hoa Valley – Ta Van Village (Ta Van Commune) – Lao Chai Commune – Cat Cat Village (San Sa Ho Commune) – Ban Khoang Commune – Ta Phin Village (Ta Phin Commune) – Bridge 32 (National Road 4D) – Sau Chua Valley – Sau Chua Village (Sa Pa Commune) – Hang Da Village (Hau Thao Commune) – Lech Village (Kim Thanh Commune) – Topas Ecolodge.

The VMM will be an opportunity for the runners to compete with challenging climbs, explore popular tourist destinations and ethnic minority villages in Sapa; and also help promote Sapa as an ideal destination for sport activities.
