An Bang Beach in Hoi An city made the list of the 25 most stunning beaches in Southeast Asia in 2018, as voted by TripAdvisor readers.
Just around three kilometers away from the city center and 22 kilometers south of Da Nang city, An Bang comes 22nd among the 25 beaches in this year’s Travelers’ Choice Awards released earlier this month.
An Bang is one of the few white-sand beaches left in Vietnam that hasn’t been spoiled by the overheated development of beach tourism linked to issues such as overcrowding, coral damage and beach environment pollution, according to TripAdvisor readers.
TripAdvisor users also recommend that the best time to relax on the beach is from May to September with crystal blue water, gentle waves and stretches of soft white sands under the glistening sunlight that first-time comers might be hooked on the mesmerizing beauty of the beach at first sight.
An Bang, which is home to fishing villages, remained unpopular until the travel site CNNGo listed it among the 100 best beaches on earth in 2011, prompting locals and foreigners to visit the beach. In 2013, An Bang Beach was voted one of the top 100 beaches in the world by CNN Summer Travel.
