It is the 3rd Central Ethnic Cultural Festival under the theme of preservation and promotion of the Central ethnic cultural characters in the period of national renovation, integration and development.
The public festival
The Central Ethnic Cultural Festival 2018 will take place in Tam Ky city on August 15-17 with the participation of about 1000 artists and athletes from 13 provinces and cities including Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Quang Binh, Quang Tri, Thua Thien Hue, Quang Nam, Quang Ngai, Binh Đinh, Phu Yen, Khanh Hoa, Ninh Thuan, Binh Thuan. It aims to honour the Central ethnic cultural values. The festival is also the chance for the artists, artisans and athletes to exchange their experiences in their preservation and promotion of cultural values.
The activities in the festival are expected to be diverse, including cultural rituals, folk arts, folk games, sports and tourism. During this time, there will be an exhibition of the typical local cultural, tourist and agricultural products at Quang Nam Museum. In addition, the cuisine culture of each ethnic minority will be presented to public in their own camps in March-24 Square.
A chance for tourism promotion
Reported from the Quang Nam Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Quang Nam delegation is the artists, artisans and athletes gathering from Co Tu, Gie Trieng, Cor and Xe Dang ethnic communities. Quang Nam will bring the most special cultural values to the festival such as Co Tu people’s tung-tung-za-za dance, Xe Dang and Gie Trieng ethnic gong and dancing performances, traditional costumes, and cultural rituals.
During the festival, 13 delegations to the event can visit Quang Nam tourist sites free. Quang Nam will facilitates all the participants in this time. Food safety, environmental hygiene and security will be ensured.
