(TITC)- From July 22 to August 12, Northwestern Cultural Space and Culinary Festival is being organized by Sunworld Fansipan Legend in Sapa, Lao Cai Province with vibrant festival atmosphere. The event draws the attendance of thousands of visitors.
In the food court, the booths display hundreds of typical dishes such as thang co (a dish made from horse meat and its organs), lap xuong (a kind of local sausage), smoked buffalo meat, sticky rice, grilled fish... Other favorite gifts for sale includes forest shoots, medicinal wine, brocade waving products...
Coming to the festival, visitors have a chance to observe the typical highland wine production from selection of raw materials, cooking glaze, wine brewing and traditional wine making. In the sunny weather at the top of Fansipan Mountain, visitors enjoy unforgettable experience with the freshly baking spring fish, corn wine and vibrant summer feeling.
After enjoying the specialties, visitors can join the Northwestern cultural space with sap dances, traditional folk games, shows of making banh chung (square glutinous rice cake), banh day (round glutinous rice cake). In particular, on Saturday and Sunday, visitors can witness a traditional wedding of the Dao ethnic people.
This is the second time Northwestern Cultural Space and Culinary Festival was held in order to honor traditional cultural values and create a unique attraction for visitors in summer.
