14 activities for low-emission land use and 12 activities for enhancement of biodiversity conservation will be implemented under the Truong Son Xanh (Green Annamites) project in 2019. They costs about 4.3 million USD (equivalent to 100 billion VND).
The 300 - billion VND - Truong Son Xanh project is carried out with the US non-refundable official development assistance (ODA). Last year, the project assessed biodiversity in three protected areas, setting up communal conservation groups, monitoring forest changes with high technology and training management of rice planting towards reducing emissions in Quang Nam.

So far, the project has reduced emissions by nearly 2 million tons of CO2, raising capacity of sustainable landscape management for 14 organizations and agencies, creating livelihood opportunities for over 3,000 local people, and protecting nearly 84,000 hectares of forest.
Reportedly, the project is carried out within 5 years in districts of Dong Giang, Tay Giang, Nam Giang, Phuoc Son, Nong Son, Bac Tra Mi, Nam Tra Mi, Nui Thanh in Quang Nam province.
