VITM Hanoi 2019 focuses on green tourism

(TITC) – From 27 to 30 March, Viet Nam Tourism Association (VITA) will organize Viet Nam International Tourism Mart (VITM Hanoi 2019) at the International Exhibition Centre, 91 Tran Hung Dao Street, Ha Noi under the theme "Green Tourism".

The event will focus on the development of ecotourism, environment protection and responses to climate change.

In the framework of the mart, many tourism programmes will be organized including VITA Awards; "Viet Nam tourism in industrial Revolution 4.0" workshop, “Career Opportunity in Tourism Industry” forum; “Viet Nam outbound tourism - Opportunities & challenges" workshop, VITM Can Tho 2019 press conference, Introduction of science & tourism training council, Tourism student festival, and many roadshows introducing destinations in Viet Nam and international countries.

The highlight of the mart will be a forum on green tourism on March 27 with the participation of around 1,000 delegates who are representatives from state management agencies on tourism, leaders of travel enterprises and ecotourism areas and students from universities and colleges. They will share their experience in sustainable tourism development on the basis of the preservation of resources and environmental protection. In addition, many travel enterprises will register to sell eco-tours at the event and many booths are encouraged to use environmentally friendly materials for building.

According to Mr. Vu The Binh, head of the organizing board, VITM Hanoi 2019 will include about 500 booths with the participation of enterprises and tourism promotion agencies from 47 provinces and cities throughout the country and from 25 countries and territories. There are 710 enterprises registered to participate with many large and modern, environmentally friendly booths such as Korea Tourism (180m2), Vietravel (180m2), Hanoi Redtours (126m2), Vietnam Airlines (90m2), Hanoitourist (90m2) ...
