The “Da Nang Festival – Welcome New Year 2021” programme, slated for December 30, 2020 to January 3, 2021, aims to help revitalise tourism amid the new normal so as to ensure the twin targets of pandemic control and socio-economic development, according to Director of the municipal Tourism Department Truong Thi Hong Hanh.
She noted that apart from recent travel stimulus efforts, festivities held during the New Year holiday will also help advertise local culture, cuisine, and places of interest as well as create new tourism products so as to draw more visitors to the city.
The programme, to take place at the square of the Asia Park in Hai Chau district, will feature a wide range of activities like a cyclo parade, free night tours on the Han River, street music shows, and singing and dancing performances with traditional musical instruments.
A noodle festival with typical noodle dishes of Vietnam and other countries, along with booths introducing Da Nang’s delicacies, is also expected to add further to the city’s attractiveness.
