Vietnam tourism receives prestigious international awards in 2020

(TITC) - In spite of a difficult year due to Covid-19 pandemic, Vietnam tourism continued to win many prestigious international awards in 2020. That was also the award for Vietnam tourism’s efforts to improve service quality, build brand name and overcome difficulties to restore the industry operation.

The World Travel Awards have been considered to be the "Oscars of the tourism industry", an honorable and desirable award for any tourism business. The awards are voted by travel industry professionals and the public.

Imperial City of Hue

In 2020, Viet Nam was honored as the World's Leading Heritage Destination for two consecutive times. Viet Nam also won Asia's Leading Heritage Destination, Asia's Leading Cultural Destination and Asia's Leading Culinary Destination 2 times in a row.

In the golf area, Viet Nam won the title of Asia’s Best Golf Destination for the 4th time in a row. Hoiana Shores Golf Club was awarded the World's Best New Golf Course.

Many Viet Nam’s tourism service providers were also honored in various award categories. Notably, Sun Group won 10/12 world’s leading awards, including prominent names such as Intercontinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort, Sun World Ba Na Hills, the Golden Bridge, Sun World Fansipan Legend, Hotel De La Coupole - MGallery...

Vietnam Airlines received the title of World's Leading Cultural Airline (in 2019 and 2020). Van Don International Airport was honored as the World's Leading Regional Airport in 2020 after receiving the World's Leading New Airport in 2019.

Besides, many high-class hotels and resorts, airlines, airports, tourist destinations, travel enterprises of Viet Nam were also honored with Asia-level award.
