(TITC) - Numerous cultural and arts activities are being organized at the Vietnam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism in Hanoi from 1-31 January under the theme “Little Spring”, helping visitors understand more about traditional cultural features of ethnic groups.
The programme would have the participation of nearly 100 people of 14 ethnic groups (Nung, Tay, Dao, Mong, Muong, Thai, Kho Mu, Ta Oi, Ba Na, Xo Dang, Co Tu, Raglai, Ede, Khmer) in 12 cities and provinces: Thai Nguyen, Ha Noi, Ha Giang, Son La, Hoa Binh, Nghe An, Thua Thien Hue, Gia Lai, Kon Tum, Ninh Thuan, Dak Lak, Soc Trang.

The event includes two thematic programmes named "Spring in Muong village" and "Love song from the sea".
"Spring on Muong Village" is an art program of Thai ethnic artists with music and art performances telling the story of Ban flowers, the beauty of the Northwestern mountains in Ban flower season. "Love song from the sea" is a music show praising the love of the sea and islands.
Besides, there are also exhibitions of photos, artifacts and documentary films about the the country’s seas and islands.
In addition to the thematic programmes, the Vietnam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism also organizes activities to celebrate International Women's Day (March 8), International Happy Day (March 20), the establishment of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (March 26) with many culinary experiences and folk games attracting visitors at the "National House" of 54 ethnic groups in Viet Nam.
